50g raw moong dal 100g pumpkin (raw, diced) 1 medium onion (finely chopped ~80g) 5 ml ghee 5g ginger-garlic paste 150 ml cow milk Haldi (turmeric) Sendha/regular salt as per taste Black pepper (freshly crushed) Water as required
️⃣ Wash and soak moong dal for – minutes (optional but improves texture). ️⃣ Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add onion and sauté until soft. ️⃣ Add ginger-garlic paste. Cook for seconds. ️⃣ Add pumpkin cubes and sauté – minutes. ️⃣ Add soaked dal, turmeric, salt and water. Pressure cook for – whistles. ️⃣ Once pressure releases, blend the mixture until smooth and creamy. ️⃣ Return to flame. Add milk and simmer for – minutes. ️⃣ Adjust consistency if needed. Finish with freshly crushed black pepper. Serve hot. Thick. Comforting. 💛
